The Prequel Codename: Sailor V
Codename: Sailor V is a prequel to Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon and features Sailor V as the heroine. The original Sailor V manga is covered in three volumes holding 15 chapters, while the reprinted version in 2004 covers the story in two volumes and holds 16 chapters. Codename: Sailor V debuted in the magazine Run-Run in 1991, and tells the story of Minako Aino's peaceful life - until she stumbles upon the white cat Artemis. Artemis reveals her true identity as Sailor Venus, and she is put to fight against the Dark Agency.
The Dark Agency which Sailor V attempts to defeat is lead by Danburite, a man serving under the Four Heavenly Kings of the Dark Kingdom. Danburite poses as Kaitô Ace and shows up whenever Sailor V is in danger to save her. At the end of the manga, he reveals himself as the enemy and tells her final love fortune as he is disintengrated.
