Chaos is the evil being that failed to become a star and is the ruler of the dark stars within the Galaxy Cauldron. It is a genderless existence that Queen Metaria, the Death Phantom, Pharaoh 90 and Queen Nehellenia were manifestations of. It desired the light Eternal Sailor Moon possessed in order to rule the universe.

When Sailor Cosmos spoke about the future, she spoke about the long, painful war against Sailor Chaos. In order to destroy Sailor Chaos, the destruction of the Galaxy Cauldron was necessary. Sailor Cosmos ran away from the battle and returned to the past in order to make things right.

Eternal Sailor Moon attempted to stop Chaos, but was repelled. The core of Chaos, the Chaos seed, and Guardian Chaos melted into the Galaxy Cauldron, and became too small to be found. However, since Chaos was never destroyed, it may be born again.

She was born alone on a planet that she considered as trash, and she also thought of herself as trash. One day she awakened as a sailor soldier, but she believed that only being a mere sailor soldier would still be the same as being trash. She decided to find a planet suitable for her and began to travel around space. During her travels, she visited a bar, and asked if anyone knew the place where stars are born. A man replied that if he took that place, he could run stars freely, and if he could rule stars, space would belong to him. Sailor Galaxia said trash would always be trash and left the bar, destroying the planet in the process.
Travelling yet to another planet, she met Chaos, disguised as a cloaked figure (Wiseman). Chaos revealed that the place where stars were born was located at the center of the Galaxy, Zero Star of Sagittarius, also known as the Galaxy Cauldron. Following Chaos, she learned that Chaos had merged with the Galaxy Cauldron, and seeked for the ultimate power to destroy Chaos. She found that power in Eternal Sailor Moon's Sailor Crystal, the Silver Moon Crystal.

Sailor Galaxia took the Sailor Crystals of many of the sailor soldiers close to Eternal Sailor Moon, and had several powers.
