Character Summary

Minako Aino awakened as one of the soldiers of the Four Guardian Deities before any of the others. The prequel Codename: Sailor V tells the story of how Minako met the cat Artemis, and she was awakened as Sailor V to later realize her true identity as Sailor Venus. She regained her past memories before any of the four other soldiers and acted as the doppleganger of Princess Serenity. In the past she was the guardian of the princess of the moon, Serenity. She is a soldier of love and uses that power against her enemies. Sailor Venus is also the official leader of the four sailor soldiers and possesses great determination. In her civilian form, she is usually seen chasing idols or reading comics together with Usagi.

Minako Aino is the civilian form of Sailor Venus. She lives together with her cat Artemis. In the past (Codename: Sailor V) she used to live together with her annoying mother and useless father, but left when she regained her past memories. Minako is very lively and cheerful and is often seen chasing idols.
Sailor Venus is one of the soldiers of the Four Guardian Deities. She has the ability to manipulate love power and transforms using "Venus Power Make Up" at the beginning of the series. As the time passes, she gains new transformation items and new abilities. Her outfit changes its appearance twice during the series.
Sailor V is the form Minako took on before she regained her memories as Sailor Venus. Sailor V is mostly frequent in the prequel Codename: Sailor V, but also shows up a few times in the Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon manga.
Princess Venus is the third form of Minako Aino. She has a castle located around Venus called Magellan, and is the princess of the planet Venus. She has the ability to call forth power from her mother star, and she also has a Sailor Power Guardian that aids her.
