Michiru Kai? is a very calm, mature young woman. When she makes her first appearance in the series, she is introduced as a student of the prestigious school Infinity School and is later revealed to be a very talented violinist. She has a relationship with Haruka Ten'?, a tomboyish woman who has a love for car racing. Together they complement each other very well, and Haruka is often seen playing the piano to accompany Michiru's violin play.While Michiru Kai? is her civilian form, she is also known as the soldier of the sea, Sailor Neptune. As a soldier, she has great powers, and is also the guardian of her mother star, Neptune. Together with Sailor Pluto, Sailor Saturn and Sailor Uranus, she is in the group commonly referred to as the soldiers of the outer solar system.
