Character Summary

Makoto Kino awakened as one of the soldiers of the Four Guardian Deities in volume 1, act 4. Her alter ego is Sailor Jupiter, and in the past she was the guardian of the princess of the moon, Serenity. She has the ability to control lightning and is athletic and strong, but she also has a softer side that loves cooking, cleaning and plants. She enjoys shopping and drinking tea. She has lived alone since she was young as her parents died in a plane crash. This created an abnormal fear for airplanes and she can't even stand hearing the sound of one. Before she came to Usagi's school, a boy broke her heart and she often sees his image in other boys.

Makoto Kino is the civilian form of Sailor Jupiter. She lives alone since her parents died in a plane crash when she was little. This caused her to create an abnormal fear for airplanes. Makoto enjoys cooking, cleaning and she has a love for plants and tea. Even though she possesses the ability to "kick butt" when it is required, she wishes to lead a peaceful life.
Sailor Jupiter is one of the soldiers of the Four Guardian Deities. She has the ability to manipulate lightning and transforms using "Jupiter Power Make Up" at the beginning of the series. As the time passes, she gains new transformation items and new abilities. Her outfit changes its appearance twice during the series.
Princess Jupiter is the third form of Makoto Kino. She has a castle located around Jupiter called Io, and is the princess of the planet Jupiter. She has the ability to call forth power from her mother star, and she also has a Sailor Power Guardian that aids her.
